Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Maritime or related fields
- Minimum 3 years of dry bulk freight operations experience
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English
- Good knowledge of MS Office Applications
- Good interpersonal skills, positive, self-motivated, team oriented, proactive, dynamic and careful
- Strong analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills
- No military obligation for male candidates
Job Description
- Post-fixture operation of bulk carrier on voyage or time charter
- Responsible for following up on post-fixture activities/negotiating/settling claims/outstanding
- Ensuring that fixtures are concluded according to proper interpretation of Charter Party clauses and shipping terms/practices
- Liaise with clients on resolution processes for post-fixture issues
- Preparing pre-stowage plans, voyage analyses and encountering Recap-CP terms
- Planning and monitoring vessel's cargo operations/passage planning and routeing/supply organization for short/mid/long terms
- Constant communication with Masters, owners, customers, brokers & agents
- Accurate update of position book and voyage management software
- Making bunker calculations for vessels
- Initiating and executing bunker purchases and following up the supply operation
- Handling laytime calculations
- Calculating & analyzing demurrage/dispatch costs
- Communicating closely with load and discharge port agents, agency appointments, port disbursements & D/A controlling
- Cross checking Port Authorities and Agents’ disbursements invoices
- Bill of lading controlling , issuing and negotiations
- Preparing hire statement, freight invoices and following up the payment plan and preparing pre and final breakdowns-FFS/FHS.
