QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Description:
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering innovative and reliable designs for use in aviation Gas Turbine engines. You will have a comprehensive understanding of the technical challenges and apply your knowledge to deliver successful results. You will develop and use several engineering tools and methods to provide effective design solutions. You will be working in a multidisciplinary engineering environment with a mechanical design engineering perspective.
Responsibilities:
- Perform engineering calculations for Gas Turbine Rotating and Stationary components,
- Perform structural analysis for Gas Turbine Rotating and Stationary components,
- Execute component trade studies and design iterations,
- Determine suitable materials for the design purpose,
- Contribute to engineering methods and calculation tools development efforts,
- Prepare technical reports and present it in the delivery of solutions,
- Communicate technical information effectively either in written or verbal forms,
- Work with other design disciplines in harmony.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's (BS) degree in Aeronautical, Astronautical, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering. Master (MSc.) or higher degree is a plus,
- Excellent command of English language for both written and oral communications,
- Russian language is a plus,
- Familiar with Aviation Gas Turbines and Turbomachinery components,
- Strong technical understanding in Mechanics of materials and Machine elements design,
- Experience using computer aided design tools (such as NX),
- Experience using finite element analysis tools (such as ANSYS),
- Familiar with Materials for Aviation and Turbomachinery components,
- Familiar with manufacturing processes for Aviation and Turbomachinery components,
- Understand technical drawings and tolerances. Familiar with GD&T,
- Ability to build engineering calculation tools. (Programming skills with Python/Matlab or similar tools is preferable),
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment,
- Willingness to accept responsibility and to take initiative.
