QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Description:

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will propose innovative and reliable designs for use in aviation Gas Turbine engines. You will lead and drive design iterations. You will develop and use several engineering tools and methods to provide effective design solutions. You will be driving mechanical design engineering perspective in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform engineering calculations for Gas Turbine Rotating and Stationary components,
  • Perform structural analysis for Gas Turbine Rotating and Stationary components,
  • Execute component trade studies and design iterations comprehensively,
  • Determine suitable materials for the design purpose,
  • Develop engineering methods and calculation tools,
  • Prepare technical reports and present it in the delivery of solutions,
  • Communicate technical information effectively either in written or verbal forms,
  • Provide technical guidance to other engineers within the organization,
  • Work with other design disciplines in harmony.

Qualifications:

  • Master (MSc.) degree in Aeronautical, Astronautical, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering. PhD is a plus
  • Minimum 5 years of Design experience in Aviation, Gas Turbines, Turbomachinery or similar industries,
  • Excellent command of English language for both written and oral communications. Russian language is a plus,
  • Broad understanding of Aviation Gas Turbine & Turbomachinery components,
  • Solid technical background in Mechanics of materials and Machine elements design,
  • Proficiency in using computer aided design tools (such as NX) for component design,
  • Proficiency in using Finite element analysis tools (such as Ansys),
  • Profound knowledge in Materials for Aviation and Turbomachinery components,
  • Knowledge in manufacturing processes for Aviation and Turbomachinery components,
  • Experience in GD&T for technical drawing interpretation and preparation,
  • Ability to build engineering calculation tools. (Programming skills with Python/Matlab or similar tools is preferable),
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills,
  • Take responsibility and lead initiatives,
  • Influence, guide and mentor other engineers.
