Summary: U.S. firm in Malatya seeks mechanical engineer for novel infant incubator development. Candidates for this role must be self-driven, creative, have amazing attention to detail, good management skills, as well as great teamwork and collaboration skills to interface with our customers and the rest of our design, manufacturing, and management teams.
I. QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ years in developing mechanical systems and product development of medical devices a plus.
II. SKILLS:
Mechanical Engineer to assist in development of an infant incubator medical device.
* Fluency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
* Possess a high degree of hands-on mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
* Clear understanding of GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) Standards
* Excellent analytical, communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
* Excellent computer skills
III. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
* Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering with a desire to focus on medical device design or past experience with medical devices.
III. JOB DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participates in engineering development projects. Leads small-scale design updates for plastic components. Engineer is responsible for mechanical optimization, validation along with status updates, product content, bill of materials, and supplier/component selection for completing system integration, analog and digital knowledge. This includes setting and revising requirements, completing documentation to ensure feasibility and verifiability of performance.
* Project Management
* Design, analysis, modeling, assembly, and validation of mechanical systems and subsystems
* Use of CAD (SolidWorks) software to create solid models, assemblies, and engineered drawings (preferably in accord with ASME Y 14.5 2009)
* Perform structural analysis including, but not limited to traditional hand calculations and (preferably quick-turn finite element analysis “FEA” to support product development and design. More detailed FEA to be performed as needed.)
* Perform/oversee testing and validation of products to confirm product function, failure mode and life expectancy.
* Travel up to 10% for customer design meetings, trade shows, conferences & sales support.
