RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead development programs in NA; collaborate with the global team to developElectric Oil Pumps for cooling/lubrication, actuation and suspension application system based on customer requirements following Stackpole development process and ASPICE (SYS.1 to SYS.5).
  • Define and provide technical customer interface for applying ElectricOil Pump systems.
  • Apply MBD methodology on ePump/Module for System & HW/SW development
  • Support customer meetings to refine requirementsand provide solutions for product design.
  • Apply platform strategy for system and sub-system (motor, controller and pump).
  • Analyze customer requirements and generate a compliance matrix to assess product design/validation feasibility and minimize potential risks.
  • Generate Product Technical Requirements for ePump system, BLDC Motor, Hydraulic Pump and Controller (HW/SW) in collaboration with global mechatronics team.
  • Maintain technical open issue list and work to resolve the problems with master timing plan in conjunction with customer milestones.
  • Define system architecture layout& function requirements.
  • Design systemDFMEA for projects and work with the customer to clarify requirements.
  • Generate and follow up on DVP&R for system and sub-system level (motor, pump and HW/SW) for functional, durability, environmental and EMC/NVH. Review procedures and results/reports for validation.
  • Analyze & report technical data into reports & presentations & answering queries. Technically accurate test reports.
  • Local and international business trips are required for customer meetings and technical discussions in collaboration with global mechatronics teams.
  • Contribute to the growth of the business by assisting in the continuous improvement effort of design, analysis, testing, calibrating through bench and vehicle integration.
  • Member of the global system engineering team to develop mechatronic products with the collaboration of team in EU and AP.
  • Develop system design for new applications and integrate with the global platform (System, Motor, Pump and Controller)
  • Collect information of failure events, provide quick feedback to the internal team and communicate to customers.
  • Generate lessons learned for technical issues and resolution.
  • Provide customer feedback on design and validation that can support the global development team for system optimization.
  • Development of AQP systems specific toElectric Oil Pump following IATF16949, ASPICE and customer standards.
    • Continuous improvement on process and procedures for mechatronics development.
  • Work within Windchill PLM software environment (Helix, DOORS, Simulink) to track designs and follow engineering procedures.
  • Work in compliance with customers’ specific requirements and Stackpole International Safety, Quality, Environmental and Production Systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor or higherdegree in Mechatronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering related.
  • 3- 5 years regarding main activities (preferable) or comparable experience in Automotive Electronic/Mechatronic Industry, familiar with Automotive SPICE.
  • Good knowledge of customer standards, legal requirements, international standards, technical specifications related to automotive powertrain
  • Advanced knowledge of BLDC motor product design.
  • Comprehensive understanding of HW/SW design & validation.
  • Experience of DOORS, Helix, PTC Integrity/Windchill, Simulink, or other similar electric and electronic product development tools.
  • Good understanding of electric and electronic components validation (LV124, ISO_16750, SAE J1211, GMW3172, CETP: 00.00-E-412, VW 80000, etc.) and experience in EE/EMC test
  • Hardware development experience for microprocessor selection, power components selection and system internal interface design,
  • Software development knowledge for vehicle communication, system internal communication, energy management, thermal management.
  • Excellent experience in communication protocols (LIN, CAN, CANFD, PWM) and control strategy (speed/pressure/flow control) of electric oil pumps or similar electric/electronic products.
  • Understanding with design system architecture, system diagram and product definition documents.
  • Practical experience of System integration test.
  • Familiar with part drawings and good knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T).
  • Practical knowledge and extensive experience of APQP, FMEA and DOE.
  • Enhanced communications, negotiating, conflict management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work in flexible time with global teams in Europe and Asia.
  • Team player with “can do” attitude.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, additional language skills in German or Chinese is a plus.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of an FEA / CFDsoftware application would be a benefit (ANSYS,PumpLinx, Nastran, Maxwell etc.).
  • Professional experience with CADsoftware (Creo, NX, CATIA, Solidworks, etc.)
  • Excellent practical experience in Motor applications, development experience for mechatronics systems andElectric Oil Pump,Electric Water Pump or other fluid applications.
  • Experience in BLDC motors manufacturing technologies
