In your role as Merchandiser, you are responsible leading the merchandising team for sourcing strategy, business development plan, fabric/product development and overall program management including production capacity reservation, order placement, production planning and negotiations with suppliers.
What you will do
- Responsible for the coordination of daily operational activities in fabric, pre-production sample development, costing and production tracking.
- Coordinate and disseminate technical packages, prepare meetings with the relative parties where needed, explain sample specifications to production team (size, fit, shape, make etc.),
- Track pre-production fabric and sample development and ensure matching of samples against required specifications and quality standard.
- Track orders and forecast delays and prevent it or minimize its problems.
- Proactively identify all production related problems and inform all local and international team members.
- Coordinate order placement process and follow up to the shipment date.
- Support ‘’ Head of Merchandising” in price negotiation process.
- Keep abreast of changing customer needs.
You have….
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in field of sourcing, manufacturing and merchandising
- Good technical knowledge in garment/yarn construction, fabric development, washing
- Customer focused with strong product skills and commercial understanding
- Ability to assess relatively complex situations and analyze data to make judgments and recommend solutions
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Fluent in English and German is a big plus as 2nd language
- Flexible to adapt to evolving scope of responsibilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office application.
