Korfez Foundry is a leading supplier serving the cement and mining industries. We operate in the field of alloyed steel castings and the production of metal components subject to wear. Our products are generated and delivered based on customer drawings and specifications with additional operations such as machining, hardfacing and assembly. We export 90% of our products to more than 70 countries on five continents. We are capable of generating products with unit weights between 0,5 kg to 8 tons and can produce 800 tons monthly. We have two foundry and a machining facilities in Dilovası and an engineering office in Germany. OurDilovası foundry is looking for Method Engineer. Job Description Summary

The method engineer provides technical leadership for multiple operations. In this role you will work with both new and existing products in collaboration with experienced teams to identify production steps and to solve technical problems. This role has a direct effect on short-term and some long-term business goals. The role requires horizontal partnership with design, production, sourcing and quality to ensure robust technical solutions for the customer. The position will be reporting to Engineering Manager.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Define process parameters and methods to work most efficient conditions for all processes at the plant.
• Interpret material and special process specifications and part drawings. Ensure that acceptance / inspection procedures and processing instructions are suitable, complete and are properly controlled during application of manufacturing procedures.
• Responsible for technical feasibility for new and running part changes, supporting fixture design team and release new tooling in production.
• Provides support technically to production, quality, maintenance and machining teams.
• Responsible for the preparation of all relevant documentation to meet product and process specifications.
• Identifies and recommends improvement opportunities and implements improvement projects, ensuring adherence to timeframe, quality and cost requirements.
• Execute process improvement projects which result in increased uptime, efficiency improvements or a reduction in operational risk.
• Evaluates new process technologies to improve productivity, quality and cost reduction, defining and leading trial activities, approval criteria and external provider choices.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical & Materials Science Engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in casting sector on method, process engineering or manufacturing, preferably in automotive industry.
• Expert level of knowledge in technical drawing, GD&T (Geometric Dimensional and Tolerancing) and technical specs.
• Fast in action but with detailed technical review.
• Problem solving and decision making capability.
• Strong team work and communication skills, eager to learn continuously.
• Strong documentation, organization and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in writing and orally in English is a must, German is a plus.
• Knowledge in SolidWorks Cad modules, operational knowledge in SolidWorks design tree hierarchy and design relations.
• Strong computer skills with sound knowledge of MS Office and modern communication tools.
• Candidate should be located or has no obstacle to live in Kocaeli or İstanbul.
• Completed military service for male applicants.
