QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB DESCRIPTION
Instruct and manage surveyors, who are investigating the matters / handling losses/performing vessel condition surveys and preloading surveys/ handling crew claim.
Contribute to settlement negotiations with claimants and consider possible recoveries from third parties.
Negotiate settlement of claims.
Build strong relationships with colleagues in branch offices.
Develop a collaborative approach to claims handling with clients, brokers and other stakeholders.
Obtain and agree a pricing structure and estimate of fees.
Maintain personal timesheets in order that all chargeable time can be billed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Proficient in English (both writing and speaking).
Technical understanding of marine claims.
Ability to manage a designated portfolio of cases.
Strong relationship development skills with internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills.
A positive team ethos.
