About the job
- Planning and directing mining organization to ensure that production goals are met, in accordance with established budgets,
- Ensuring proper training of all employees in operation, safety, and/or maintenance functions,
- Ensuring that the mine operates in compliance with regulations, including health, safety and environmental,
- Ensuring development and execution of safety programs for all mining activities,
- Preparing work schedules and approving operating plans,
- Periodically inspecting all working areas and advising team of changes and corrective measures,
- Settings goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational result,
- Problems faced may be difficult but typically are not complex
