QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Network Engineer (work from home for a company in USA)
We are recruiting for Network Technical Support Engineer positions for smart, driven and hard-working individuals. This position is a remote work from home and involves working remotely with a talented and experienced technical Mushroom Networks team based in San Diego, California, USA. This opportunity is a unique fast track growth and learning opportunity. The position requires interacting with enterprise customers worldwide, however, mostly with customers in the USA. Therefore shifted work hours with a start time of 3pm Turkey local time is required.
Job duties include network design, network diagnosis, network debugging, identifying and resolving network problems in enterprise networks. Duties also include written and oral communication within the company as well as interactions with outside corporate clients. Other duties include contributing to product design, testing and product R&D for cutting edge Mushroom products.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience/knowledge of layer 2 and layer 3 networking concepts as well as concepts such as TCP/IP, subnets, routing, switching, MPLS, IPSec
- Working knowledge of Linux (or Unix) environments
- Minimum BS degree or equivalent in Engineering (Computer or Networking or Telecom or Information Technology or Electrical) with minimum 3.0 GPA
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English
- Access to high quality broadband Internet access
PREFERRED:
- MS or MSE degree or equivalent in Computer or Networking or Telecom or Electrical Engineering
- Network admin experience
- Experience/knowledge in Python
- Experience with ethereal, iperf, traceroute, wireshark, tcpdump and/or similar tools
- Experience/knowledge in networking stack
- Expertise in C/C++ and object oriented programming
- Flexibility of relocating to California in the future
