We are currently offering an opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join us in starting something remarkable as a “Occupational Health and Safety Specialist” at ASAŞ Akyazı/SAKARYA Location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from related departments of engineering (Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical),
• At least B Class Occupational Health and Safety Specialist Certificate from Ministry of Labor and Social Security,
• 10 years of professional experience in Occupational Health & Safety,
• Minimum 3 years experience of metal industry,
• Experienced in machinery, equipment and risk analysis,
• Having one of the OHS Certificates with International Validity (NEBOSH / IOSH, OSHA ) is an advantage,
• Experience with management system compliant to standard ISO 45001,
• Fluency in english both written and spoken are mandatory,
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint),
• Ability to establish a positive relationship with employees at all levels,
• Solution and result oriented, dynamic, prone to teamwork,
• Adequate public speaking skills,
• Ability to conform to flexible working hours,
• No restriction to travel.

Job Description

• Performing all requirements in line with national and international legislation and standards regarding Occupational Health and Safety, and internal standards; development of existing applications.
• Performing all duties within the scope of the OHS Law No. 6331, the Regulation on the Duties, Authorities and Responsibilities of Occupational Safety Specialists and other relevant legislation (Guidance, Risk Assessment, Work Environment Surveillance, Training-Information-Registration, etc.).
• Carrying out studies on the subjects like Ergonomics, Chemicals Management, Subcontractor & Work Permit System Management, etc.; developing applications, realizing new projects.
• To follow up compliance with ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System standards, preparing for audits, governmental inspections, customer visits.
• Identifying data and reports needed to monitor performance and compliance against goals; driving continues improvement in occupational safety performance, systems, policies, procedures, harmonization of legislation through regular reviews, inspections, audits and procedure, and policy updates Leading all incident investigations to identify the root causes and to monitor the implementation of preventative actions.
• Developing and performing Occupational Safety Culture Projects within the scope of Occupational Health and Safety.
• Checking that the subcontractor works in the factory area are carried out in accordance with occupational health and safety.
