QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree from Faculty of Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
- At least B Class Occupational Health and Safety Specialist Certificate from Ministry of Labor and Social Security,
- Minimum 5 years of practical work experience in developing and implementing H&S programs, preferably at least 3 years of experience in the production sector
- Competent in ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, experienced in performing internal workshops/site audits and H&S management system audits
- Having one of the OHS Certificates with International Validity (NEBOSH / IOSH ) is an advantage
- Having a good command of the national and international legislation requirements regarding Occupational Health and Safety and able to carry out all applications in this direction
- Advanced competency in controlling critical hazards including Working at Heights, Electrical Safety, Ergonomics, Control of Hazardous Energy, Confined Spaces, Mobile Equipment, Chemical Safety and all regulatory compliance obligations
- Fluent in English both written and spoken
- Excellent command of MS Office applications
- Quality-oriented, task-conscious
- Open to change and development
- Strong teamwork, analytical thinking and communication skills
- Good in planning & organisation, problem solving & decision making
- Solution & result oriented, dynamic, analytical thinking, effective in planning, organization and problem solving, strong communication & presentation skills,acting as a good team player
- No restriction to travel
- Residency in Izmir
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Performing all requirements in line with national and international legislation and standards regarding Occupational Health and Safety, and internal standards; development of existing applications
- Performing all duties within the scope of the OHS Law No. 6331, the Regulation on the Duties, Authorities and Responsibilities of Occupational Safety Specialists and other relevant legislation (Guidance, Risk Assessment, Work Environment Surveillance, Training-Information-Registration, etc.)
- Carrying out studies on the subjects like Ergonomics, Chemicals Management, Subcontractor & Work Permit System Management, etc.; developing applications, realizing new projects
- Managing the ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System standards in the brewery, preparing for audits, governmental inspections, customer visits
- Identifying data’s and reports needed to monitor performance and compliance against goals; driving continues improvement in occupational safety performance, systems, policies, procedures, harmonization of legislation through regular reviews, inspections, audits and procedure, and policy updates
- Leading all incident investigations to identify the root causes and to monitor the implementation of preventative actions
- Creating an effective emergency response plan, ensuring emergency response systems, teams, policies and procedures are up-to-date, coordinating trainings and drills and validating emergency action plan
- Developing and performing Occupational Safety Culture Projects within the scope of Occupational Health and Safety
- Establishing close communication with our offices and warehouses in other cities to drive a central management of occupational safety
