QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Description:
PLM Engineer is expected to work with administrative and multidisciplinary engineering team consisting of participants from program/project management members, systems engineers and design engineers.
Main scope of interest for the position is to ensure achievement of PLM objectives of military turbofan engine.
In addition, PLM Engineer is expected to communicate with relevant internal and external units and provide the necessary organizational structure for the development of PLM and integrated software within the scope of planning and execution of PLM processes.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing Product Life Cycle Model Management Plan in accordance with certification basis instructions and international standards,
- Establishing work processes by working with relevant departments, implementing and monitoring these processes on PLM and integrated software,
- Preparing related technical documentation on PLM processes, and supporting users in the applications of PLM processes,
- Constantly updating engineering and product development processes in line with the needs and testing / accepting issues of these changes on PLM software,
- Conducting necessary technical interviews with suppliers for the procurement/establishment of PLM software and submitting an evaluation report for the procurement decision,
- Following the technological developments, innovations and trends relevant to PLM continuously and to apply them within the framework of basic principles,
- Monitoring the integration of the software’s in PLM system and to take the necessary actions to eliminate problems,
- Fulfillment of the training and technical support needs of users when necessary,
Qualifications:
- Graduated from mechanical engineering, aerospace/aircraft engineering or related departments of the engineering faculties. (having an MS or PhD degree is a plus),
- Proficient in both spoken and written English,
- Preferably having 2+ years of experience in aviation, defense or automotive industries,
- Experience in PLM processes, preferably in aviation, aviation gas turbine engines or power plant systems for ground vehicles,
- Having knowledge in systems and design engineering approaches and methods is a plus,
- Proficiency or knowledge in at least one of the PLM tools (Siemens and Dassault are preferable),
- Preferably, experience in planning, conducting and coordinating PLM requirements,
- Knowledge on military and civil standards that is being used in the aviation industry (i.e. ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288),
- Basic understanding of military certification process is a plus (EASA CS-E and DEF STAN 00-970 PART 11 are preferable),
- Proficient skills in Microsoft products (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project),
- Interpersonal skills required to work with team members, customers and other stakeholders such as aircraft manufacturer and/or subcontractors.
