QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
What You Will Do?
You will be a part of a cross-functional agile team. You will take responsibility from day one, improve your skills and learn continuously. As a part of the team, help us to build and scale applications. Maintain databases along with proactive measures to maximize the database availability and performance. Actively monitor the data tier for health and capacity and take corrective actions as needed. You will be a part of a very exciting project, analyze requirements and design solutions accordingly, support production deployment & post-production issues.
What you need to have?
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a background in Computer Science or Engineering.
- 3+ Years hands-on experience in Postgres Database.
- Experience with PostGIS Extension.
- Experience with implementing, performance tuning, and supporting multiple databases
- Experience in managing schemas, indexing, objects, and partitioning the tables.
- Experience in creating data design models and database architecture.
- Experience in configuration control and release management for stored procedures and applications that wish to connect to the database.
- Strong experience performing general troubleshooting database maintenance activities including backup and recovery, capacity planning, and managing user accounts.
- Knowledge on architectural data flow across distributed systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- English proficiency.
- Desire to continuously improve and apply technical skills.
- Strong analysis and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work in an agile environment with minimum guidance.
Nice to have:
- Experience with ElasticSearch or Apache Solr.
- Knowledge on NoSql databases.
- Knowledge on Git version control system.
- Hands-on experience with crawlers, ETLs or Apache AirFlow.
