You are the technical lead in projects and point of contact for all involved internal and external colleagues from Product Management, R&D, Purchasing, Sales etc. We can offer you at Georg Fischer Hakan Plastik A.S., Cerkezköy an interesting opportunity as a Product Development Engineer
We are looking for qualified, talented and motivated Product Development Engineers to join our team.
Qualifications / Your profile
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Polymers Engineering.
· 3+ years' experience as a technical project engineer with a focus in product development or development engineer ideally in a plastic processing industry (Knowledge in PPR, PVC and PE extrusion and injection processes is a plus)
· Having experience in 3D part designing, tolerance analysis and knowledge on materials of plastics.
· Self-disciplined, self-motivated and confident personality to contribute to the success and harmony of the team
· Team spirit and reliability
· Pro-active; self-driven for creating new projects and/or improving existing conditions and processes
· Fluent speaking and writing skills in English
· Clear communication strength
· Able to work on international projects and travel abroad
· Driving Licence: Class B
· No-military obligation for male candidates
Job Description / Your responsibilities:
· Contribute to a culture of innovation for new products and enhancements to current product performance.
· Driving research and development efforts for piping system products and processes.
· Ensure that the functions of the developed product meet the defined product requirements (applications, standards, approvals, patents, etc.)
· Releasing of products and technical documents according to our development process
· Define all relevant tests for the development and release process to make sure all requirements from product specifications and standards are met.
· Keeping all design and product development records related to the quality system.
· Following alternative raw materials requests, production trials and laboratory tests.
· Following and keeping updated the material master data in the ERP system. (IFS / SAP)
· Support evaluation and assessment of new products, intellectual property, processes and industry trends that have the potential to impact our business strategies,
· Develop and drive realistic and actionable project plans,
· Design and implement plans to research, synthesize, characterize and test new products and materials
· Support current projects in terms of quality, manufacturing, supply continuity and cost improvement.
