Summary of the Role:
Product owner is the team member who ensures that each product delivers the maximum value to the user. Holds the central position in each product development cycle. Also is responsible for operating in various roles within a cross-functional team.
As part of the activities, it is expected to make recommendations on new solutions and proposes improvements by analyzing different sources of information. This role requires focus on customer deliveries, activities and risks impacting projects success.
In this role, you’ll find a chance to:
Defining the vision
• Define the product vision & the business value in line with the business owners, other POs and agile teams
• Embark Amadeus teams on product vision, share product knowledge and ensure mutual understanding of the business
• Define and manage product roadmap
• Responsible for communicating with stakeholders across the board, including customers, business managers, and the development team to make sure the goals are clear and the vision is aligned with business objectives.
Managing the product backlog and prioritizing
• Create the list of backlog items and prioritize them based on the overall strategy and business objectives.
• Map out project dependencies to inform the necessary sequence of development.
• Backlog to be aligned to the Product Vision
• Drive product management activities for the area/segment-specific products including the preparation of user stories, prioritization based on business value and learning potential
Overseeing development stages
• Accountable for the Sprint outcome/Release outcome and the final product.
• Act as a primary role in inspecting and evaluating product progress through each iteration
• Ensure segment-specific products are delivered on scope, on time, on budget
• Manage segment-specific 3rd party partnerships: requirement definition and prioritization, coordination of product evolution and other activities with the partner
• Will be an expert at understanding and anticipating the client’s needs to more effectively manage the development process.
• Maximise agile team's outcome: translate requirements into user stories, prioritize them and validate their delivery
• Participate to Scrum Sprints reviews when applicable / required
About Ideal Candidate:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent, M.Sc is preferred
• Very good written and oral English communication skills
• 3+ years of experience in Product Management or Product Ownership
• Experienced in Agile methodologies
• Strong team player with a collaborative mindset
• Ability to drive teams and take ownership
• Comfortable in a multi-cultural, international organization
• No overseas travel restrictions
