Our Gaziemir Mobility facility is looking for Production Planning Engineer. Please review below to see if this might be the right opportunity for you!
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluates customer orders to create suitable production schedules.
- Enters or adjusts production orders in ERP and MS Office and Excel according to Customer orders.
- Develops daily or weekly production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met.
- Responsible for a due time input which includes a daily check of the necessary materials and resources as well as the establishment of the necessary production programs and production papers.
- Estimates the amount of material, equipment, and labor required for production.
- Schedules shifts according to production needs.
- Coordinates production operations in accordance with material, labor, and equipment availability.
- Promptly addresses and resolves production issues to minimize delays in production.
- Recommends viable solutions to reduce production costs as well as improve production processes and product quality.
- Compiles status and performance reports and submits them to management in a timely manner.
- Informs promptly the relevant departments of changes to current production schedules.
- Informs Customer Service Representatives about delivery plans.
- Operates and maintains all programs, systems, and objectives as defined by the facility quality policy and espouses our Gates Quality Commitment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Requires Industrial or Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
- Must have experience min. 3 years in production planning department.
- Must have experience in a serial production environment.
- Must have a good knowledge of the production flow, the machines and the materials as well the specification systems and knows how to keep a smooth production flow.
- Good interpersonal skills to deal professionally and confidently with all levels of associates.
- Must have attention to detail and accuracy with figures.
- Must have the ability to work independently and organize the work load.
- Must also be a team player.
- Good PC skills and ERP knowledge.
- Requires fluency in English, both oral and written.
