QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Project Manager to be employed in one of our Wastewater Treatment Plant Construction Projects.

Key Qualifications will include, but are not limited to:

  • University degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering,
  • Preferably at least 10 years of general professional experience,
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in construction and/or construction supervision of wastewater treatment plants and/or water and/or wastewater infrastructure projects,
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in implementation of FIDIC Contracts,
  • IT-skills, reporting skills, MS Office (Especially Excell and PowerPoint)
  • Good communication skills,
  • Solid written and spoken English,
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, particularly corporate communication,
  • Have in depth knowledge about relevant legislation of the environment and construction sector,
  • Manage the relationship with the client and relevant stakeholders,
  • Use and continually develop leadership skills,
  • Goal-oriented and organized leadership,
  • Perform risk management to minimize potential risks,
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors,
  • Based in Turkey,
  • Strong problem solving, technical and reporting skills,
  • Represent the company in all relevant technical and site meetings,
  • No military obligation for male candidates,

Job Description:

  • Ensuring coordination in the preparation of implementation projects,
  • Carrying out the required planning to achieve the individual and team targets which determine for construction implementation period,
  • Select and manage subcontractor and supplier relationships,
  • Follow up the performance of the Contractor / Subcontractor who takes part in the project based on Works Programme, and quality criteria,
  • Ensuring the necessary actions are taken in case of trouble or delay in the performance of the Contractor / Subcontractor who takes part in the Project,
  • Ensuring the coordination with all relevant units regarding construction works and providing the necessary information flow,
  • Develops and adheres to the concept, timeline, and quality control plan,
  • Follow up and finalize all documentation/deliverables related to the project,
  • Represent the company with full authority in all relevant business and follow up and follow up and conclude all kinds of work,
  • Follow up and manage the fulfilment of the administrative requirements of the construction site,
  • Examining the interim payments certificate of the Contractor/Subcontractor who takes part in the project, deducting and certifying them if applicable,
  • Ensuring the work program of the projects is carried out in accordance with the targeted budget and quality,
  • Carrying out the works at the construction site with properly and diligently, taking and supervising the necessary measures regarding OHS, carrying out the duties on behalf of the company representative in the board meetings to be held within the scope of OHS studies,
  • Preparing and issuing progress/status reports related to the project,
  • Assisting in the staff of the official institutions (e.g. Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, EU Delegation, Ministry of Finance and Treasury, etc.) monitoring the project and providing solutions to the questions of the officials of the institution,
  • Obtain necessary permits, approvals, and other regulatory prerequisites from the relevant institutions and authorities,
  • Representing the company in the presence of the official institutions/authorities related to the project.
