QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
DEG is looking for a Project Engineer to join us to execute unique, exciting, and challenging projects. We have growth opportunities for a highly driven engineer with a solid capacity to work collaboratively, yet independently, in a fast-paced environment.
Candidates may have a Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering. Candidates must be based in İstanbul and expect to work out of our Şirinevler / İstanbul. This is not a remote position.
Main tasks and responsibilities include the following:
- highly organized, ability to multitask, observe good timekeeping and meet deadlines
- brings an approachable and friendly manner, and is confident speaking in public to both professional and community audiences
- works collaboratively as part of a team and intuitively as an individual
- excellent written and verbal English communication
- self-motivated, driven and proactive
- strong organizational skills
- knowledge and understanding of planning policy and Smartsheet flow
- AutoCAD, Solid or Shaper3d, Adobe Creative Suite (is a plus)
- Zoom (and/or other online conferencing tools)
- having oversight of projects for public and/or private sector clients, on generative structures & on floating structures.
- demonstrate experience of, and contribution to, gathering and consolidation of data and information to inform in-depth analysis and reporting
- having complete knowledge in details of the specification & contract of the projects
- effectively communicate design ideas and approaches using a variety of techniques
- demonstrate experience in coordinating different job disciplines for the realization of the project in accordance with the technical specifications
- assisting in amending the specification & drawings in accordance with the involved parties
- following up on purchase demands in accordance with the project plan
- having oversight of financial information and budgets relating to the delivery of projects
- controlling the construction process in accordance with the Project Quality Policy
- assisting the Project Coordinator in completing the projects on the due date, within the budget & in line with the company targets.
