QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
The Role:
Leading engineering projects in such a way that engineering products are delivered on time and of good quality. Takes care of the engineering package together with his/her team ofDamen colleagues and third parties.
Key accountabilities:
• Receives assignments from the Manager of EngineeringDepartment to carry out engineering projects and translates these into project objectives for him/herself and for the engineering project team.
• Based on this, draws up document lists including budgets for the activities and monitors them.
• Draws up and monitors the project engineering plan.
• Determines the required project team staffing based on the scope of the activities and the schedule and adjusts this where necessary during the project, in consultation with theManager of Engineering Department.
• Sets goals for his/her direct reports and monitors their work, making adjustments where necessary.
• Monitors the execution/progress of the work in his team.
• Reports on hours and progress of the engineering project.
• Manages the technical content of the engineering project team and makes technical decisions where necessary.
• Is the technical point of contact in the project team. Leads the execution of the work and supervises progress and quality, by instructing, activating, motivating and supervising the direct and indirect reports.
• Ensures a correct interpretation and application of regulations applicable to ships.
• Participates in consultations with “customer teams".
• Evaluates and releases all engineering products.
• If necessary, takes over the tasks ofSection Leader Engineering.
Skills, experience and requirements:
• Knowledge at the level of Bachelor degree inNaval Architecture and Marine Engineering.
• Minimum 7years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of yacht building, risk management, project management, execution details of yachts and engineering process.
• Extensive knowledge of relevant regulations.
• Has the necessary management skills (planning and control).
• Verbal and written skills in English.
• Willing to work in a dynamic environment.
• Result – oriented and strong monitoring and reporting skills.
• Living in or prepared to move to Antalya area.
• Ready to have business trips abroad.
• No military obligation for male candidates.
