QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Antalya Substrat is part of the Van der Knaap Group of Companies with its Head Office in the Netherlands. Antalya Substrat aims to deliver sustainable high-quality products and services in rooting and growing compounds for the Turkish and surrounding horticulture markets. The products and services provided by the Van der Knaap Group helps growers achieve the best outcome. For our substrates we use natural raw materials as cocopeat and peat moss.
At Antalya Substrat we are looking for a Quality & Logistic Manager with an affinity to the horticultural sector and the motivation to optimize processes and activities.
Your role
In this position you will improve, optimize and develop, qualitative procedures, methods and production processes at our production site in Antalya. You will strengthen quality awareness at the location of Antalya Substrat and its supplying partners and contribute to the further development of our quality management system. In addition, you will perform controls (internal audits) and report these including recommendations to the General Manager and Head of Quality. In cooperation with the production team you will check and optimize procedures and production processes.
Furthermore, you will be responsible for coordinating the whole supply chain including purchasing, organizing the international logistic and handling the import and export procedures of all international purchases. For this you will work closely with suppliers, international logistic companies and customs brokers.
You will assist colleagues where necessary and support them in achieving the quality objectives and you will deputise for the Head of Quality in his absence. You will work from our location in Kepez/Antalya.
We are looking for someone who
- Thinks and acts at least at B.Sc. +level;
- Has several years of relevant work experience in a similar position; Has knowledge and experience of quality systems;
- Has knowledge of professional horticulture (knowledge of potting soil and substrates is an advantage);
- Has an excellent command of English (must) and Turkish;
- Can work independently as well as in a team;
- İs accurate and persistent and works in a structured way and with precision.
