RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for establishment and maintenance of Quality Assurance standards and procedures, including testing and maintenance methods, procedures, data collection, and traceability. Recommends required inspection and test equipment.
  • Supervises various phases of inspection, testing, and quality assurance procedures throughout subordinate staff.
  • Plans and schedules work.
  • Analyzes problems related to delays, poor quality, rejects, and inadequate control.
  • Writes or revises policy and procedures relative to Quality Assurance programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree preferred in mechanical engineering with good management abilities or equivalent experience, experience dealing with varied customers and supplier base, familiar with manufacturing processes, broad understanding of quality automotive systems - including Iso 9001 - required to ensure OEM requirements are set forth to meet world-wide customer needs, understanding and application of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • BS/BA or equivalent (4years of experience) with 3 years specific experience
  • Good organizational skills, flexibility to deal with an expanding facility and understand the requirements needed to meet the demand of the facility and customer, familiarity with measuring instruments and related computer technology, good understanding of GD&T and statistics, good insight into world-wide quality standards- including Iso 9001 -, ability to establish short term priorities and long term goals based on the need of the customer, understanding and application of Lean Manufacturing principles.
