QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Qualifications:

BS or Master degree in Mechatronics/Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering
•     Know-how in vehicle electrical/electronic/mechatronic systems and at least three year experience in development with a supplier
•    Know how in electronic control unit development from specification creation until testing activities.
•    Knowledge in development and analysis tools like Vector CANoe is an asset
•    Very good command of English and German
•    Strong ability to cooperate and work in a team, ability to integrate, analytical thinking and target oriented working skills
•    No military service obligation for male candidates
•    Willing to travel abroad with no restriction

Job Description:
R&D Engineer for Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System (AVAS) and Trailer & Body Integration  

•     Development of  an acoustic vehicle alerting system for electric trucks  to fulfill the minimum noise requirement acc. UNECE Reg. No.138 
•    Defining the sound character of electric trucks with Daimler sound experts and mixing the audio according the customer expectations
•    Feature responsibility for Body HMI features, configurable body indicators, configurable body pop-ups and configurable body switches.
•    Feature responsibility for all trailer indicators in vehicle according to the ISO11992-2 and -3 CAN interface
•    Coordinating and communicating with body & trailer manufacturers to understand their needs and accordingly implement them to the electronic control units.
•    Preparing specification book in DOORS according to the and latest requirements related
•    Project coordination and controlling of intern and extern partners (R&D, testing, homologation, purchasing, sales, plant, after-sales and suppliers) in terms of cost, dead-line and quality
•    Performing and reporting of regular development and testing activities
