QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

A career in our Research and Development practice, within Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to assist clients in structuring their research and development programs, improving their return on research and development investment and their effective tax rate. You will also work with governments of all levels to design and improve tax regimes in order to foster innovation.
Our team provide insights and professional suggestions that can help mitigate risk and effectively manage tax burden. Adopting technology driven methodology, you will assist clients to identify and develop critical and strategic initiatives, support implementation through documentation of key aspects of various incentives, and develop procedures and technologies intended to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of identifying, documenting, calculating, and sustaining current and future incentives as well as management of research and development activities.

Responsibilities
:


  • Understand relevant tax policies and regulations, understand the advanced technologies of relevant industries;
  • Interview with clients to understand clients’ business operation and R&D process;
  • Conduct technical analysis regarding clients’ R&D projects. Evaluate the innovative and progressive point of such projects from the perspective of finance and taxation. Provide professional technical opinions and write report and required technical reports for the purpose of relevant tax incentive application;
  • Coach and support other team members in the specialised field.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor degree or above in Engineering ;
  • 2-4 years working experience in the R&D/Technology Department of enterprises or in R&D institutes;
  • Familiar with relevant industries’ R&D project management procedure. Have deep technical expertise;
  • Strong project managing and tracking skills. Able to work on multiple engagements;
  • Fluent in oral and written English. Overseas study or working experience preferred;
  • Good teamwork and communication ability, comfortable in working under pressure, identify with the PwC values, interested in focusing on technical consultation work.
