- Materials Processes
- Guarantee the development of new materials processes and prototypes for Pirelli products, identifying new solutions or developing improvements in the processes currently adopted, on the basis of the needs of other functions (e.g.: performances, producibility, cost reduction, and so on).
- Implement technical know-how in the field of processes, for example, by using predictive models about the behavior of polymeric material during the curing process, cooperating with the Mathematical Models Researchers.
- Develop benchmarking activities in order to compare the Pirelli materials processes to the competition
- Keep contact with the market in order to maintain a constant update on materials processes.
Industrialization - Support technologists and operational units in implementing the industrialization phase of materials and material processes (such as the mixing and curing phase) also by cooperating with Materials Quality and with all the other functions involved (such as Engineering).
Homologations - Contribute to the process of raw-materials homologation, cooperating with all the involved functions.
