REGIONAL MEDICAL MANAGER (Rare Diseases) Contractor

Job Role

Regional MM actively engages in the scientific exchange related to the Rare Diseases therapeutic areas of responsibility. As catalysts of collaboration between Pfizer and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), RMMs are essential for the quality of the transmission of the key scientific insights, research resources and the implementation of added-value projects aiming for earlier patient diagnosis and appropriate disease management. Therefore, the RMM is exposed to key decision makers both within the organization and outside the company. Accordingly, the incumbents are expected to spend significant time in the field and act as an advocate of “Patients First” manner.

Main Responsibilities

Reporting to directly to the ‘Rare Diseases Medical Lead Turkey’ of the organization, the ideal candidate will be responsible for:

• Fostering collaborative relationships with KOLs and facilitate the exchange of unbiased scientific information between the medical community and the company

• Developing and maintain professional relationships with academic centers to ensure their access to current medical and scientific information

• Conducting medical presentations to ensure accessibility of scientific and practical product information which may include product administration characteristics, therapy management and other practical concepts to expand the current product usage

• Providing scientific information of the latest clinical trials showing the development, efficacy and safety on the use of the new product. Identify competitive advantages or potential new uses of the product

• Serving as local medical scientific resource planning for communication of the therapeutic area and product information

• Attending scientific meetings, reviews scientific journals and partners with Medical Leads/Managers and Business executives to foster information on medical concepts and product usage

• Planning and executing field medical activities during the product launch processes, with a focus on early and appropriate patient diagnosis.

• Initiating and conducting appropriate field force training &development on information regarding current and emerging clinical data and emerging trends in clinical medicine and practice within TA

• Supporting requests from sales force regarding medical and scientific information on products or therapeutic areas

• Representing company with a strong medical and scientific vision in key academic centers by conducting research and educational initiatives

Candidates are expected to have the following qualifications and skills;

• University degree from Medical Faculties

• Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Turkish

• Ability to understand complex scientific information

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Set

• Good at teamwork, being self-motivated, acting decisively, taking initiative

• No restriction to travel frequently and must have a valid driving license

• Located in Istanbul
