QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Mechanical Construction Engineers to execute mechanical construction activities in a safe way and of good quality for our cogeneration steam power plant project. The Mechanical Construction Engineer shall be responsible for the implementation of all mechanical construction works.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct the mechanical erection activities from beginning to commissioning stages.
- Follow and monitor the work schedule & work activities sequence.
- Oversee all mechanical erection to monitor compliance with safety regulations
- Coordinate and direct mechanical construction workers and subcontractors
- Select tools, materials, and equipment, and track inventory
- Meet contractual conditions of performance
- Review the work progress on a daily basis
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
- Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
- Analyze, manage and mitigate risks
- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
Requirements
- Proven working experience in mechanical works management of Power Plants and similar Industrial Construction Works
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Experience in working for multinational teams with OEM’s TFAs and Supervisors.
- Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods
- Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards
- Ability to plan and see the “big picture”
- Competent in conflict and crisis management
- Leadership and human resources management skills
- Excellent time and project management skills
