Responsibilities
- Analyzing markets and suppliers to create a basis for deciding on the optimum sourcing strategy
- Make, renew and update all related contracts and service supply
- Supporting the purchasing demands from different departments and ensuring that they are met with best prices, high quality and on time
- Ensuring the supply of the necessary products by working in coordination with the Production Planning Manager in order to avoid any disruption in the production flow
- Tracks all open orders until receiving of the related materials/services and informs requesters regularly
- Building and managing effective business relationships with global & local commodity/specialties suppliers
- Making the quality performance evaluation of suppliers
- Observing core and sub-markets & global price trends and preparing related reports
- Entering purchase transactions information into the system (AX) for data analysis
- Analyzing costs on ERP/AX, budget realization, cost breakdown and preparing reports for the category
- Maintaining long term and reliable relationships with suppliers developing alternatives in accordance with the company strategy
- Contributing for cost saving projects with a collaboration of internal stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or related disciplines
- At least 3 years of experience in purchasing processes, Preferably in Food
- Experience of strategic sourcing and food sourcing
- Preferably knowledge of food commodities markets and stock management
- Considerable knowledge of purchasing methods of analyzing supplies, materials and services, also procedures and techniques of specification writing
- Good knowledge of AX ERP and MS Office programs
- Good command of English both written and spoken
- Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills
- Strong demonstrated negotiation and conceptual skills
- A team player with the ability to work to tight deadlines in a multi-discipline environment
