QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Access World is a global commodities warehousing and logistics business. We provide physical warehouse and related logistics services for commodities such as non-ferrous, ferrous metals, agricultural products or chemicals. Access World also acts as collateral manager of Ferro Alloys, minor metals as well as oil and gas. As an approved warehouse keeper of the London Metal Exchange, one of our main business is the provision of LME warehousing and associated services to traders, producers, financiers and consumers of base metals. Our global head office is located in Zug, Switzerland, with each region operating in semi-autonomous offices with their own corporate functions including commercial, finance and operations.
1. We are currently seeking to appoint highly motivated individual to the role of Sales, Commercial (Freight Forwarder) for our Istanbul office with the aim to increase the volume of direct freight bookings and logistics sales. The individual will be instrumental to drive sales, expand market share and tap into new market opportunities.
Duties will include but not limiting to:
- Seek new business opportunities and maintain relationships with existing customers
- Be active at the freight desk, supporting with operational work include freight bookings to execution of shipments and provide freight and transport inquiries for both breakbulk and containerized shipments
- Track industry developments and target new business based on market research. Make recommendations onfreight strategy to local and regional management
- Attract business through the most effective channels: cold calling, conferences, setting up client meetings
- Prepare P&L costing on all business accounts/opportunities
- In collaboration with the Commercial and Customer Service teams, establish and maintain statistical customer information and rates to monitor focus areas and sales activities
- Communicate with Customer Service department regarding information on customer changes and updates to help strengthen business relationship and prevent potential issues
- Prepare meeting and/or presentation materials for internal/external purposes
- Source freight and transport providers according to company’s standards and /customers’ requirements
· Potential candidates should possess the following attributes:
- Minimum 3-5 years of work experience in a freight forwarding environment, with sales experience
- ands-on mentality and ability to work independentlyxcellent communication and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Good command of written and spoken Turkish & English to communicate with local and overseas offices
- Meticulous, responsible and positive working attitude
- Readiness to learn and eagerness to grow
- Adaptable and able to accommodate prevailing conditions
- Proven ability to work in cross-functional and multicultural environment
