QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
We focus on providing analysis services for Next Generation Sequencing technologies and producing software in line with developing technology. Responsibilities
• Build and administer computing, data storage, database system, networking infrastructure and its supporting services.
• Monitor systems for normal operation, backups, security, and performance.
• Maintain uptime and accessibility of infrastructure hardware and services.
• Investigate network, server and storage hardware issues and coordinates resolution with vendor service providers, if necessary.
• Responsible for the deployment and configuration of server and data storage and networking infrastructure in the implementation of new projects.
• Automate routine repeated tasks through scripting or other means.
Qualifications
• University degree in related fields or equivalent working experience
• Demonstrated experience of installation, configuration and management of OEL or RHEL.
• Demonstrated experience of Unix/Linux shell script development for variety tasks.
• Demonstrated experience of installation, configuration and management of nginx.
• Demonstrated experience of installation, configuration and management of PostgreSQL.
• Demonstrated experience of installation, configuration and management of Slurm.
• Demonstrated experience of installation, configuration and management of Ceph.
• Demonstrated experience of installation, configuration and management of Redis.
• Demonstrated experience of installation, configuration and management of uWSGI.
• Demonstrated experience of installation, configuration and management of Django and Celery.
• Demonstrated experience of installation, configuration and management of RabbitMQ.
• Demonstrated experience of design and implementation of update procedure and plans.
• Demonstrated experience of design and implementation of backup procedure and plans.
• Demonstrated experience of design and implementation of recovery procedure and plans.
