QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

The specific responsibilities of the role will be evolving somewhat over time in response to changes in the company’s dynamic business environment, however, key priorities will always include the following:
Maintain strong ownership of the Company’s TGAAP trial balance in the ERP system, ensuringthat accounting and tax transactions are completed correctly, including key interfaces with non-Finance areas such as Production, Procurement and HR
Ensure the high standard of all the Company’s accounting information.Maintain extensive knowledge of trends in key figures and reasons for variances between reporting periods, and own the Company’s quarterly balance sheet reconciliation process, including review meetings with CFO
Provide accounting-related guidance and advice both inside and outside the Finance team. Work with the organisation to create improvements in how data is captured and analysed in the Company’s ERP system, and use the system to improve identification of risks and implementation of controls
Handle key accounting processes hands-on, including product costing, fixed assets / depreciation, etc.
Be responsible for tax declarations and optimization of the Company’s tax position
Ensure month-end processes are completed on time, including accruals in ERP for IFRS reporting
QUALIFICATIONS
Technical Competencies
n Bachelor degree in Accounting or similar field. CPA qualification completed, or well progressed
5+ years' work experience
Full understanding of TGAAP and Turkish tax
Full proficiency in Excel
Confident user of ERP / accounting systems
Spoken and written English desired
