JOB DEFINITON

Senior BI & Database Engineer is responsible 7/24 for the following issues regarding the specified systems.

• Having used the SAP BW application and completed the end-to-end project,
• Having experience in the management of Data Warehouses systems,
• Ability to develop reports and manage all end-to-end operating activities with the QlikView BI Application,
• Requirement’s determination, procurement, installation, configuration, update and upgrade, occupancy/capacity planning, performance tuning, operation, backup, restore from backups, etc. to perform technical management and documentation functions,
• Fulfillment of activation/deactivation, configuration, identification and authorization studies related to the DB systems under its responsibility,
• Carrying out shell programming and scripting works,
• Performing daily DB system control operations, checking that all software, hardware and services are operational, taking necessary preventive and corrective measures, performing configuration and control studies of system logs,
• Taking all measures related to the security of DB Systems, making follow-up, establishing, configuring, monitoring, making necessary interventions, preparing and implementing procedures,
• Following new technologies and adapting them to the institution,
• Fulfillment of DB System integration, testing and quality control studies. Continuously checking that the systems serve in a healthy way,
• Fulfillment of maintenance and operation activities such as correction/development/improvement/productivity increase,
• Ensuring data synchronization between development environments and production environments,
• Preparation and implementation of the relevant procedures/policies and standards, taking and implementing the necessary measures to prevent non-standard definitions and practices,
• Fulfilling the Second Level Technical Support role for responding to operational incidents escalated by the Information Technologies Helpdesk,
• Performing system management activities in cooperation with other technical and operational roles,
• Providing DB System Management support needed in daily operational studies, process improvement studies or projects,
• Supervision and control of third-party systems and services serving as outsourcing, communication and coordination with subcontractors,
• Checking the conformity of the built/delivered DB systems with the technical specification/contract,
• Planning, development, implementation, monitoring, management, supervision and coordination of works/projects that will affect the system such as maintenance/repair/change,
• Being involved in research and training activities related to the systems for which it is responsible by researching external sources such as the Internet, books, videos,
• Carrying out the related work in other works and projects assigned by the managers related to their field, working overtime in the place where they are temporarily/permanently assigned outside the office on a domestic/abroad basis,
• Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reports on IT activities for the Affiliate Technical Systems Manager,
• Planning, creating, developing, implementing, monitoring, managing, supervising and coordinating corrective and preventive activities together with Information Security Management policies,
