QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

This role primarily required to perform Network and Security design and management activities to deliver and maintain our infrastructure in our Digital Transformation journey. This person will be responsible for leading the infrastructure operations and driving enterprise technology strategy and policy across the organization. This position will manage the vendors who are maintaining Aegon Turkey network and security infrastructure systems.

Job Description

· Manage database configuration including installing and upgrading software and maintaining relevant documentation.

· Contribute to the setting of standards for database objects and ensure conformance to these standards.

· Monitor database activity and resource usage.

· Optimize database performance and plan for forecast resource needs

· Develop and maintain specialist knowledge of database concepts, object and data modelling techniques and design principles and a detailed knowledge of database architectures, software and facilities.

· Assessing risk and impact of database changes

· Ensuring the security of our data through access management, backup and recovery and disaster recovery planning

· Remaining current with new features in Oracle Database and complementary technologies

Qualifications

· At least 7 years' experience maintaining and guiding a production Oracle Database infrastructure

· Strong proficiency in Oracle database management

· Understanding of MySQL’s underlying storage engines, such as InnoDB and MyISAM

· Experience with replication configuration in MySQL

· Knowledge of de-facto standards and best practices in MySQL

· Proficient in writing and optimising SQL statements will be plus

· Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git and Mercurial

· Database management in MySQL and MSSQL will be a plus
