QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related fields
- Minimum 5 years of experience in SQL Server and HA technologies as Database Administrator (DBA), including experience installing, configuring, designing, patching, archiving, and monitoring to include performance tuning databases with indexing
- Experience in adjusting queries to enhance performance
- Experience with backup/recovery best practices
- Experience with management of database policies, procedures, and technical standards
- Solid understanding of database administration, architecture and infrastructure
- Proficiency in data manipulation languages, including MS SQL
- Experience running and creating SQL Server health assessments reports/SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) report development/experience writing complex SQL Queries
- Experience with automation of DBA tasks
- Good knowledge of the Linux, Windows
- Basic knowledge of Linux/UNIX shell scripting
- Good verbal and written skills in English

JOB DESCRIPTION
- Managing all database instances including installation, configuration and maintenance
- Reporting on metrics regarding usage and performance
- Design and perform scheme changes according to needs of product development teams
- Perform all database maintenance and tuning activities to ensure continued availability and performance
- Diagnose and resolve database performance and access issues
- Provide high quality support for developers
- Provide technical leadership on database systems and solutions. Provide individual mentoring and training on databases and tools. Recommend, test, and evaluate new technologies, software tools, and required skill sets; recommend and implement improvements
- Monitor and analyze database performance and ensure effective and efficient utilization of database systems/processes
