Job Description:
As an Embedded Software Engineer, within a multi-disciplinary team you lead the development of embedded software for the Battery Management System (BMS) with a focus on safety and reliability objectives for development of functionally safe battery systems.
Your Role:
- Implementation of safety critical software for Li-Ion Battery Management System based on high level functional descriptions, block diagrams and models
- Test and validation of newly developed or existing BMS software
- Close cooperation with the hardware engineers for battery system development
- Assist the certification process for safety critical software
Qualifications:
- Degree (BSc, MSc, PhD) in Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering or similar
- Track record of successfully completed software projects
- Professional experience in the development of functional safety software (DO-178C, ISO 26262, IEC 61508, V model)
- Very good software development skills in C/C++, experience with model-based software development and code generation preferred.
- Experience in software testing and verification (white/black box testing, static/dynamic testing, unit/integration/system testing)
- Experience within software configuration management tools, continuous integration, test coverage
- Experience with digital communication standards (like SPI, I²C, UART, CAN, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills and structured approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player, confident in technical discussions, ability to organize and “get things done”
- Structured way of working, high sense of responsibility, Hands-On attitude
- Very good English language skills (written and spoken)
