QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Senior Field Service Engineer Energy & Automation
Our Field service team provides vital pre-commissioning and commissioning activity on Wartsila equipment sold to our expanding customer base including our latest automation technologies for Marine and Energy installations.
Responsibilities of this position include:
· Troubleshooting by identifying failures adjusting, attending sea trial runs, and testing of installations according to instructions expected performance requirements.
· Checking and adjusting relevant systems, i.e., engine, auxiliaries.
· Performing side audits.
· Participate with improvement of new products when performing warranty activities.
· Providing internal and external work reports according to Wartsila standards.
· Ensure customer satisfaction with job performance & through positive interactions with customers
· Conform with all regulations, policies, work procedures, instructions.
· Conform to the safety rules & use of all appropriate safety equipment.
To be considered for this role you must demonstrate:
· A safety-first mindset
· Have a technical background with at least 5 years working experience in related field & shipyards.
· A relevant B.Sc. degree with a focus on Energy & Automation or a Mechatronics education
· Technical experience in marine and/or energy engineering with good problem-solving skills.
· A working PLC would be beneficial.
· Good command English is beneficial.
The successful candidate will also:
· Be a team player with a positive mind-set and ability to adapt and work independently in a challenging environment.
· Show a desire to learn new things and work within our current processes and procedures.
· Able to use effective technical communication skills, both written and verbal.
· An ideal candidate will also have Engine specific automation control system experience such as, WECS,UNIC, etc..
We required a customer service focused mindset with the flexibility to work away from the home location with willingness to travel both within Turkey and internationally.
