QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Unifree is a duty free company with a German partner and manages the world's largest duty free space at the Istanbul Airport, which is the world's largest airport project. In the framework of this project, we are looking for a " Senior Network Specialist" to be included in our team.
The Senior Network Specialist is responsible for activities related to the design, installation, management, and maintenance of the enterprise - wide LAN, WAN, wireless and network security infrastructure. This position will establish enterprise data network standards, analyze and resolve complex network related problems, and analyze and test all elements of the network infrastructure. This position requires technical knowledge and experience in monitoring, security, backup, recovery, and maintaining an Enterprise datacenter. Analyzes trends and assists in design and development of network plans. Interfaces with vendors to learn about new data communications technology and system upgrades.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering, information systems, or related fields,
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Network Administration position,
- Technical knowledge and experience for implementing new network and system architectures and optimizing the current structures,
- Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP protocol stacks and firewall security in an inter networking environment,
- Deep knowledge and hands-on experience for configuring and troubleshooting Switches, Routers, Firewalls,
- Experience with HP, Cisco, Fortinet and Checkpoint network knowledge,
- Experience on Network Performance and Security Monitoring tools,
- Knowledge for the various WAN technologies,
- Knowledge and implementation of the Information Security Standards,
- Experience in the newly constructed facilities, datacenters, offices, buildings is a big asset,
- Careful, delicate and suspicious approach for the network and system security,
- Excellent troubleshooting capabilities and solid problem-solving skills with proactive approach,
- Good command of English both written and spoken,
- Military service should be completed for male candidates,
- No restrictions for travelling both inside of Turkey and abroad temporarily.
Job Description
- Analyzing the current and required structure of the network architecture and designing as required,
- Coordinates with other offices any network changes or activities that could affect them,
- Managing and maintaining the network, as well as network performance monitoring,
- Developing a backup/disaster recovery plan for a network emergency,
- Providing high quality of 1st and 2nd level support for network related issues and projects,
- Escalate problems (when required) to the appropriately experienced party,
- Being a strong and challenger member/leader for the related projects,
- Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot Routers, Switches, Firewalls, VPN boxes etc. in order to deliver required high quality and security services,
- Implement firmware upgrades and vendor-supplied patches according to the plans periodically,
- Monitoring the devices which are under his/her responsibility,
- Work with the vendors and service providers when required,
- Performing preventative maintenances,
- Develop policies, procedures and standards.
