Job Description
We are currently seeking a “Senior RF Design Engineer” to join our R&D team. Position will:
- Lead the architecture, specification, design, development and verification of communication network equipment (cable broadband and/or wireless infrastructure products).
- Work with cross functional teams such as product management, mechanical/PCB design, test engineering and manufacturing,
- Assure testability and reliability of the conceived item (design for test),
- Keep up-to-date with technological advancements in telecommunications equipment design, and initiate and lead innovation projects yielding new products and features,
- Participate in coaching and training of hardware design engineers.
Qualifications
- BS at Electrical-Electronics Engineering. MS degree will be a key asset.
- Minimum 6 years’ experience at;
- Communications network equipment design and development,
- PCB design, RF signal propagation characteristics and RF impedance matching techniques,
- RF modulation concepts, amplifier and linearization technologies, digital and analog filters, broadband RF receiver and amplifier chain design, test methodology and test equipment,
- Using EDA tools for circuit design and simulation (esp. Altium Designer, Spice, AWR)
- Understanding preliminary product concepts and subsequently author technical requirements,
- Design, build and test activities for HW and feature/functionality within cable broadband and/or wireless use cases inclusive of: DOCSIS, RAN, spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, and interference mitigation for various spectrum solutions with minimal direction,
- Defining solution test strategy, specific test cases, executing tests, revisiting design as necessary and documenting results.
- Clearly understand technical problems and define solutions to mitigate those problems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
