QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Control Union is the one of the biggest Inspections and Certifications company which was established in 1920, Rotterdam. To this day, Peterson and Control Union continue to be family-owned and now operate in more than 70 countries employing more than 4,000 people. Our in-depth knowledge and experience covers all aspects of the supply chain in many industries including agriculture, forestry, sustainability and textiles· We are seeking auditors (permanent) to conduct social compliance audits with in Turkey or abroad.
Qualifications:
- Graduate in Agriculture Engineering
- Minimum of 2 years related work experience in the agriculture sector (preferable)
- Have knowledge about HACCP and Good Agricultural Practices principles (preferable)
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Good command of English; in speech and in writing is must
- Must have a valid driver license
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
What We Expect From You?
- Conduct audits/ inspections in good agriculture practices and social audits
- Interpret audit guidelines and score audits
- Communicate findings/results of audits with client site management or representative
- Develop work plans and complete assigned audits within determined timeframe.
- Monitor industry trends and identify client needs, and champion these within the organization.
- Deliver presentations to growers, shippers, distributors, buyers, trade associations, regulatory agencies, and product user groups, as requested.
- Participation in meetings and training abroad
- Frequent overnight travel.
- To stand or walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to travel by car or plane.
- Extensive use of computers and other electronic equipment.
- Moderate physical effort required
- Ability to follow client and regulatory required safety practices.
- Majority of work is performed in farming, food packing/handling environment or other non-office setting.
