Roles and Responsibilities of a Social Media Specialist

Management of Social Media Channels

1-A social media specialist manages all the social media channels of a company or organization including Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Google+, etc.

2- Responsible for ongoing updates about the brand and service of the company in social media accounts to engage customers.

Creating Brand Awareness

3-Produce content for all social media channels and are responsible for brand awareness and promotion to gain their audience satisfaction and to engage them.

Set Targets

4-Set standards to meet. Insufficient website traffic, declining customers retention, poor online reputation, slow sales, weak brand awareness are all the challenges that a social media specialist can face initially but their job is to overcome all these and set realistic targets.

Tracking Social Media Influencers

5-Track the relevant social media Influencers for the brand to enhance the overall brand reputation and extend the reach through influencer channels.

Keep Up to Date with any Social Media Trends

6- Track all the changing social media trends.

Assist with Social Media Performance Report

7-Creat a social media performance report is a key part of a social media specialist to explain your progress on social media. A social media report includes the data and stats that matter to the company, the timeframe (like weekly, monthly, quarterly, from the campaign, start to end)

8-Respond to any mentions over social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram and Google+ and engage with social media users

9-Move to different stores to take the needed pictures & video shots to enhance the content across all the social media channels.

10-Produce a consistent brand message across all the social media channels.

11-Regular monitoring the competitor social media sites and creating an analysis report.

12-Create and promote the company blog on a weekly basis.

13-Work with other departments to develop social media timelines that coincide with the product release, ad campaigns, and other brand messages.

14-Coordinate social media messages with advertising departments, the brand management team, and annual company goals.

15-Analyze social media campaigns with tracking systems to determine areas for social media campaign improvement and to gather visitor’s data.

Social Marketing specialist requirements

1. Hands-on experience in Photoshop &video editing and Graphic skills is a must.

2. 3 years of experience in Digital Marketing.

3. Team player.

4. Very Good time-management skills.

5. Great interpersonal and communication skills.
