At Mikro-Tasarım, we’re known for innovative technologies in IR (Infrared) imaging systems that solve problems for a wide range of areas — and we need a new software developer to be part of our software development team. We’re currently seeking a highly skilled software engineer to provide the business knowledge and technical expertise to develop software solutions for our IR imaging systems. Software Engineer Job Responsibilities:

Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
Follows the software development lifecycle.
Develops well-designed, testable and efficient code
Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.
Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
Integrates software components into a fully functional software system
Improves operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
Troubleshoots, debugs and upgrades existing systems
Obtains and licenses software by obtaining required information from vendors, recommending purchases, and testing and approving products.
Accomplishes engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Complies with project plans and industry standards

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
2+ years of professional software development experience
Proficiency in C/C++, and object-oriented design skills
Application architecture and design patterns
Experience in embedded software development
Familiar with device driver development for the Linux kernel
Experience with building custom Linux OS and cross compilation methodologies
Experience serving as software developer throughout the full software development lifecycle, from conception, architecture definition, detailed design, scoping, planning, implementation, testing to documentation, delivery and maintenance is preferred
Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
