STRATEGIC INSIGHTS MANAGER

What this position is about - Purpose:

  • The incumbent, working very closely with the head and managers of Marketing and Sales will be responsible for;
  • Providing consumer & commercial insights and strategic recommendations for formulating portfolio, brand, trade, and distribution strategies.
  • Generating information on consumer & customer trends and behaviour, competitive activity, global best practices, as well as performance of JTI brands whilst acting as an in-market repository for learnings from programmes and activities. Will also drive optimal knowledge sharing with Sales and Marketing Groups as well as HQ.

    What will you do - Responsibilities
    :
  • Responsible to provide future forecasting of market dynamics, industry size, brand performance estimations etc.
  • Responsible to monitor the emerging medium to long-term trends among target group, selected channels, and the retail environment
  • Responsible to generate insight and intelligence for M&S teams to formulate future strategies on existing and potential new brands/products or trade/channel strategies.
  • Responsible to ensure continuous follow-up and sound analysis of consumer, shopper, competitive and trade data. Ensures proper allocation of research funds to relevant activities as part of the A&SP process and appropriate management of research spends.
  • Budget: Optimizes, manages, and controls related budget in order to ensure the effective allocation of the resources that are in line with the agreed strategies for related brands.

Who are we looking for - Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from Business Administration or equivalent departments,
  • Master’s Degree from Marketing related departments is an asset,
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in FMCG Marketing and/or Sales functions,
  • Fluency in English,
  • High proficiency in MS Office applications,
  • Analytical thinking and strategic planning skills.
