QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Technical Analyst , 3-5 years experience

Reporting Line

Direct line: Technical Manager

Transverse Reporting: RES Group / EMEA

Key Responsibilities

1. The Technical Analyst will be part of the local Technical Team in Istanbul

The Technical Team is responsible for the technical analysis of projects, from greenfield up to ready to build. The team is responsible for the operational implementation of wind and solar measurement campaigns, starting from initiating up to dismantling the measurement equipment. The measurement data is further used in the techno-economical analysis of the projects. RES has a deep knowledge base locally in Istanbul and throughout the Group, and this knowledge must be passed on to our projects to sustain our success in this market

2. The Technical Analyst will be responsible for optimizing the Energy Yields of RES projects

3. The technical analyst will use Python code to improve further process/analysis with existing RES software to support the team further. She/he/they will be part of the technical team and will strengthen the technical team with their knowledge and experience

Assignments

1. Willingness to learn and become a part of the technical team in Istanbul, close collaboration with the development team and further technical teams in RES Group

2. Involvement in the follow-up of the measurement campaigns and maintaining contacts with the subcontractors. In a later stage, taking over the ownership of all measurement processes (coordination, permits, subcontractors, planning, stock management) and improving the process

3. Involvement in the techno-economical analysis of the project: data quality checks, data analysis, layout designs with ARCGIS, wind and solar energy yield preparations, economical project analysis. These will be done using RES in-house software

4. Interaction with RES software via Python codes to improve the development process

5. Contribution to the development and the organization activities of RES in Turkey

6. Propose improvements on the processes responsible for and exchange experience with a broader group of peers within RES Group continuously

7. Responsible for technical reports (wind studies, configuration of solar and wind farm projects, ).

8. Work in association with the activities of engineering and development groups

9. To fulfill the duties and services provided along with any additional responsibilities to be entrusted to by the decision of the Representative of the Employer, the General Management of the Company or by any of first-line superiors and to perform all duties expected of the position with the due diligence and skill required of a person in such a position and to participate in training allocated

10. And any other activities related to the project development of the company

1. Respect and implementation of internal procedures to improve the quality process

2. Ensure the observance of these procedures by suppliers

3. Participate in the improvement of procedures within the Department

4. Participate in or initiate corrective actions

Requested skills,

· A high level of collaboration, accountability, excellence, and communication skills

  • Experience in the wind and solar resource assessments
  • Experience in wind flow modeling (CFD)
  • Experience in Energy Yield and layout design process (both solar and wind)
  • Experience with Python computer programming
  • Experience with ArcGIS and other GIS applications
  • Very good command of English both in written and spoken
  • Preferable University degree in Engineering/Physics/Meteorologic or other relevant qualification
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Applications.
  • For male candidates, military service status should be completed
  • Soft skills: organization, teamwork, ability to communicate with suppliers and subcontractors, Analytical skills, good plan management, willingness to learn

Necessary authorizations/training

  • Active driving skills and driving license (B)
  • SRC driving license
