We are looking for a “Technical Audit Assistant Manager” working in Energy Operations department located in Holding Headquarter;

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, preferably in industrial engineering or merchant marine management engineering. Master’s degree or professional qualification degree will be a plus,
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English,
  • Preferred experience in energy business and power generation,
  • Knowledge on natural gas processes will be an asset,
  • 7 years’ experience in industrial, mechanical engineering, merchant marine management engineering, electrical engineering, auditing, controlling, and reporting with at least 5 years as Manager or Assistant Manager.
  • Experience in writing internal policies, procedures, standards, process evaluation and documentation,
  • A demonstrated knowledge of internal controls, warranty, and security survey processes
  • A demonstrated knowledge of mechanical engineering, merchant marine management engineering, electrical engineering, and internal controls
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously,
  • Strong analytical skills, detail oriented and ability to work and interpret figures and other financial information,
  • Ability to prepare trainings and train staff to adhere to “Company Policies and Procedures”
  • Ability to address issues and effect change,
  • Strong communication skills – both oral and written,
  • No restrictions for travelling inside and outside of Turkey,

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • To plan, update, organize and carry out the internal controls function including the preparation of an audit manual, audit plan, scheduling and assigning work and estimating resource needs,
  • To ensure the implementation of internal control systems by carrying out the regular audits to verify whether departments follow the established policies and procedures,
  • To conduct risk assessment of departments / functional areas in accordance with timelines,
  • To conduct audit testing of potential risk areas and identify reportable issues,
  • To conduct any reviews or tasks requested by management,
  • To participate in the development of internal control policies ensuring that they are relevant to the company operating environment,
  • To develop and implement appropriate operating procedures to ensure compliance,
  • Identify areas of O&M and administrative strengths and weaknesses and develop best practices,
  • To ensure compliance with existing company cost control policies and procedures, identifying & proposing modifications as needed,
  • To monitor and provide advice to management to minimize risk resulting from poor internal controls,
  • To identify areas of cost calculating, process control and administrative strengths and weaknesses and develop best practices,
  • To identify the shortcomings and weaknesses and to recommend suitable changes,
  • To review the responses to internal and external audit management letter queries to ensure that recommendations are implemented; follow-up on audit action plan to ensure that all action items are resolved before the next annual audit,
  • To provide management with periodic reports on compliance,
  • To provide training to staff to ensure that they have an intricate understanding of all the internal control guidelines and standards.
