QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking highly qualified, dynamic candidates willing to pursue a professional career in a rewarding and fast growing business environment as Temporary Senior Buyer (Maternity Leave Cover).
The purpose of this role is supplier management and implementation of supply solutions in the country & region level. Focus on savings, value creation and enhancing supplier performance, execution of sourcing strategies and addressing needs of the individual businesses / sites in the country and region.
Strong collaborative role: The position holder is the link to operational roles in procurement and businesses.
The role reports directly to the Head of Procurement, Group Procurement Services.
This position is a temporary role to cover the period of maternity leave.
Responsibilities
Supplier Management
- Manage Spend and Supplier
- Supplier Performance Management yearly supplier evaluations, progress, feedback & corrective actions
- Alignment on Demand Forecast for suppliers, regular reports on products
- Supplier Performance improvements and roadmap with strategic / long term suppliers
- Implementation of supplier global/regional portfolio strategies / Driver seat for supplier onboarding
- Supports projects in the area of renewable energies and energy efficiency
Need assessment (shared responsibility)
- Demand specification in collaboration with business- BU consulting
- Identification of improvement potential challenge status quo, De-specification, bundling, demand pattern etc.
- GPS representative in tactical S&OP meetings for regular exchange and ensure customer centricity
- Supply Risk Monitoring & Improvement plan
Negotiation & Contracting (shared responsibility)
- Driver of bidding & Tendering process
- Negotiation (monetary and qualitative targets) & Awarding
- Drive contract coverage incl. Sourcing list & Manage interfaces & maintenance
- Lead Sourcing projects incl. Stakeholder Management
- Master data maintenance
Continuous Improvement and Quality Management
- Drive Process improvement projects along the entire Source to Pay process, regular updates
- Collaboration with Operational Proc. & Accounts Payable - follow up and performance monitoring
- Drive Digitization project implementation
- Reduce efforts - Lean optimization
- Quality improvement projects, Sustainability Improvement projects
Collaboration role
- Stakeholder Management (BU`s, supplier, operational procurement)
- Tandem collaboration & Interaction
- # of successful implemented strategies
- Quality of strategy execution
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field. Preferably business/marketing experience, but chemical/ other engineering degrees can also be considered
- Min 5 years of Purchasing or Sourcing experience or similar commercial roles in Sales is recommended
- Operational Procurement experience is an advantage
- Technical experience or education is an advantage
- Project Management experience is an advantage
- Understanding of operational sourcing and purchasing processes
- Good knowledge of MS Office applications & SAP
- Fluent in both spoken and written English is a must
- Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Driven and ambitious in delivery of results
- Living or willing to live in Asian side of İstanbul
- No military obligation for male candidates
- Willing to work under the fixed term contract.
