QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Credit Europe Bank N.V. is an international bank headquartered in Amsterdam. We have branches and subsidiaries in Germany, Malta, Switzerland, Ukraine and Romania.

For our Trade Finance Services Department within Operations Division, we are looking for an:

Officer or Senior Officer, Trade Finance Services

Candidate shall be responsible for the correct processing and administration of all types of trade products; letter of credit, collection, guarantee and bill discount.

(S)he will be working closely with the front office(s) to ensure optimal customer service.

The candidate’s responsibilities concern mainly operational (back office) tasks as detailed below:

· Issues / advises / adds confirmation to letter of credit and checks the scrutiny of the documents presented, in accordance with organizational policies,the Uniform Customs and Practices for Documentary Credits (UCP) guidelines.

· Processes the collections in accordance with URC (Uniform Rules for Collections) guideline.

· Issues / advises bank guarantees.

· Inputs / authorizes transactions in the core banking system & Swift Alliance.

· Ensures the reconciliation is done on transaction basis and acts as a customer contact with primary and secondary counterparties as well as with trade finance network. (customer contact is expected to be on operational / back office level)

· Follows internal and external publications regarding developments related to trade finance business.

· Ensures close coordination with related departments, fosters teamwork to optimize internal and external customer contacts.

· Participates in User Acceptance Tests when there is a change / improvement in banking systems.

Desired Skills and Experience

• University degree (Banking and financial services with particular interest in trade finance is preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of trade finance experience.
• Ability to work in a small team and independently.
• Proficiency in both verbal as written English

Reasonable knowledge of the ICC Uniform rules for the related trade finance products.
