QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Researches, designs, implements, and evaluates machine learning approaches and models
- Performs ad-hoc exploratory statistics and data mining tasks on diverse datasets from small scale to “big data”
- Participates in data architecture and engineering decision-making to support analytics
- Collaborates with business owners and IT leadership in a gathering of business requirements and creating architectural designs
- Transforms a large amount of complex data into business insights and solutions by using the latest technology in machine learning, pattern recognition, text mining, and parallel/distributed computing
- Researches latest technologies and tools in analytics services and develops prototypes for business use cases
- Learns new business concepts and contexts rapidly
- Works with business stakeholders to understand the opportunities and constraints of their existing data in the context of machine learning and predictive modelling.
- Applies analytical theory to real-world problems on large and dynamic datasets.
- Produces materials to feedback analytic results to customers (reports, presentations, visualizations).
- Evaluates and improves the analytical results on the live system
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS Degree in Statistics, Computer Science/Engineering, Industrial Engineering (or other related engineering fields)
- Good command of SQL. Hands-on experience in Big data frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark, and Cloud Technologies
- Strong programming and scripting skills in Python (packages: pandas, NumPy, matplotlib, sci-kit-learn, TensorFlow, pyspark, etc.)
- Knowledge of IBM SPSS Modeler. IBM SPSS C&DS and IBM ILOG CPLEX experience is a plus
- Hands-on project experience in some of the following areas: Cross/Up-sell Modelling, Churn Prediction, Segmentation, Recommendation Systems, Time Series Analytics, Demand Forecasting, Image Processing and Natural Language Processing
- Minimum 2 years of experience in related fields,
- Excellent command of English,
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills,
- Effective communication skills,
- Ability to manage a variety of cross-organizational projects (scope, stakeholders, desired outcomes) working closely with a broad range of internal and external teams,
- Proficiency in MS Office applications,
- No military obligation for male candidates.
