QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

VFS Global is a Trusted Partner for Diplomatic Missions and is currently carrying out the administrative work and non-judgmental tasks for its client governments with 3093 Visa Application Centers and operations in 147 countries across five continents. VFS Global serves the interests of 62 client governments. The company has successfully processed over 203 million applications since its inception in 2001 and over 84 million bio-metric enrollments since 2007.

We are looking for an Operations Manager for our Visa Application Center in Istanbul, Turkey.


Qualification & Experience
Education: Graduate or global equivalent degree,
Certification Courses related to Security measures and norms,
Experience: 5 – 7 years’ experience in Armed Forces/ Corporate Security Division.
Knowledge & Key skills:

  • Should possess technical internal auditing skills,
  • Capable of developing a broad knowledge of the business (strategy, organization, policies, interactions),
  • Possess a high degree of competence in written and oral communication,
  • Possess professional technical knowledge in at least one other area of the business,
  • Broad knowledge of the business (strategy, organization, policies, interactions).

Candidate should have good knowledge of security systems available in the market and should be proficient in English language. (CV's without English language skill will not be considered for this position).

Job Description

  • Maintain adequate vigilance and surveillance with continuous monitoring of the security functioning of the VFS centers,
  • Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of the security equipment’s of the VFS centers to minimize Security downtime,
  • Ensure appropriate and consistent compliance with relevant security policies, contracts and regulation,
  • Ensure business driven requirements and solutions are identified, agreed and redressed appropriately,
  • Support, as appropriate, protective security management initiatives in respect of secure transportation of business related confidential data,
  • Ensure all critical service levels are met & contractual obligations complied to, with deviations reported through incident report framework,
  • Liaise and maintain relationships with Security service providers/ Vendors,
  • Support/ Generate periodic Reports and information/ details for the MIS,
  • Ensure appropriate protective security awareness, training, and education programs are implemented to maintain high security awareness levels among employees,
  • Ensure approved physical security management programs and projects, satisfy agreed objectives and are delivered on time and within budget Requirements,
  • Carry out investigation/ inquiry as mandated by the management,
  • Periodic review of the security set-up of the VFS centers/channel partners and initiate measures to mitigate the risks,
  • Guard Force Management so as to supervise the deployment and performance of security personnel of both partners as well as external vendors,
  • Keep a track of the political security scenario and possible threats to business, assets, employees, etc. and update the Operations team accordingly in a timely manner,
  • Ensure life safety of all inside VFS centers and institute loss prevention measures to prevent incidents/accidents,
  • Perform corporate security internal audits when, and where, appropriate via problem and change management systems,
