QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
• Polymer R&D Engineer
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related science field required; Advanced degree preferred.
• Previous work experience in an R&D environment working hands-on with polymers, resin composite materials,
and 3D printed materials required.
• Previous work experience involving coordination and project management with a diverse group of
stakeholders, spanning all aspects of the business required.
Responsibilities
• Serves as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing as the products
move to production and distribution.
• Will be able to use 3-D printers and make resin formulation according to needs
• Work hands-on with polymers, resin composite materials, and 3D printed materials
• Develops, scales, and implements new processes, technologies, and products.
• Directly manages and executes one critical and complex product development project.
• Formulates methods to maximize speed to market, completeness, accuracy, and compliance for new products.
• Initiates cost reduction proposals and investigates proposals from other sources, compiles appropriate
information, makes recommendations for action, and checks on results obtained.
• Researches vendors and negotiates pricing and terms for equipment and materials.
• Performs other duties and projects as assigned by management.
