Specific
- Contributes to the morale and team spirit of the hotel by maintaining effective relationships with colleagues
- Performs additional duties as directed by supervisors
- Makes appropriate suggestions and recommendations to management for the general improvement of the hotel
- Ensures that all activities are carried out honestly, ethically, and within the parameters of local law
General
- Preparing accounts and tax returns
- Monitoring spending and budgets
- Auditing and analysing financial performance
- Financial forecasting and risk analysis
- Advising on how to reduce costs and increase profits
- Compiling and presenting financial and budget reports
- Ensure that financial statements and records comply with laws and regulations
- Keeping account books and systems up to date
- Calculating, preparing, and issuing bills, invoices, account statements, and other financial statements according to established procedures
- Compiling statistical, financial, accounting or auditing reports and tables pertaining to such matters as cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, profits and losses
Skills
- Familiar and competent in using uniform chart of accounts
- Analytical skills that allow for the development of data-driven reports
- Ability to use SQL and Microsoft Excel to create pivot tables, graphs and charts
- Tendency to pay close attention to small details that could impact results
- Willingness to work flexible hours and assist in other positions as business demands dictate
- English with ability to communicate clearly
